1. Mai Khao
Mai Khao Beach
Mai Khao beach is located in northwest Phuket. It is the longest stretch of sandy beach on the island, covering 9 km. Mai Khao is part of the Sirinat National Park so that it is relatively quiet and undeveloped. The only significant constructions along it are the JW Marriott Phuket Resort and Phuket International Airport near Nai Yang Beach. You will see many plants and wildlife including rare species of birds lizards snakes fish and marine life. In this April, you can also join the Songkran Festival or snorkel along the beach with access toPhuket Campground and Nai Yang National Park. A short distance out into the water, there is a sharp drop off into the Andaman Sea, making swimming dangerous from May to November.
