Dubai - The world's most expensive destination to visit in 2016
Hoppa - an airport transportation website has announced the mostexpensive destinations for this year's tourist season by looking into what different places charge for a pint of beer, a cup of coffee, a meal for two, hotel room and also transportation cost.
Dubai is among the most expensive destinations for tourists
According to Hoppa's result, Dubai of The Arab Emirate (UAE) is the most expensive destinations in the world with the average cost for one day at 397.84 USD.
In particular, Hoppa' calculation shows that in Dubai, the average taxi fare of approximately 3 km will cost travelers about 2.57 USD, a meal costs about 39.99 USD and a hotel room per night is about 306.39 USD.
Dubai is renown for its ultra-luxurious accommodation and atmosphere. All are very expensive here from goods to services.
Dubai is the champion in the top ten most expensive places to go, according to Hoppa. Besides that there are also New York City, Botswana, Marrakesh, Sydney, London, Singapore, Caracas, Cancun, and Lima. Meanwhile, the cheapest are Budapest, Tenerife, Bangkok, Hanoi, Cape Town, Faro, Auckland, Corfu, Sharm El Sheikh and Kuala Lumpur.
The result shows that the most expensive destination is Dubai when the cheapest is Budapest. However, When it comes to food and drink, the most expensive place for food and drink is New York whilst the cheapest evening out is Hanoi.
When mentioning about transportation cost, the study claims Dublin is home to the most expensive taxi ride per 3km – even higher than Tokyo, Vienna and London. The cheapest place to get around is Botswana and Kuala Lumpur.
