Nearly 20 years ago, the King of cave called Ho Khanh accidentally saw an entrance to the cave which has some masses of milky cloud above while he went to the forest by chance.
It was not until 2009 that Son Doong Cave was explored and researched by an expert named Howard Limbert. After that, Son Doong Cave was proclaimed to be the cave with the largest area in over the world, drawing attention from the whole world.

Experts in Cave Research have also discovered that there is a forest inside the cave that is 400 meters far away from the ground. The tree-trunks evolve on their own by rising up, not
growing in diameter but rising up to find some weak sunlight inside the cave. The diversified flora creates a garden of Eden lying in the middle of the mysterious cave.

Son Doong Cave has a dome with more than 200 meters in height, 150 meters in width and 5 kilometers in length. With its big size and colorful stalactite below, the dome covers the whole cave as an over-awed castle. The stalactite of the cave which has overslept over millions of year is tens of meters in height, lying between several ponds and lakes, rivers and streams with sparkling colors, the sound of water falling seem to mix into a song with serene sounds in breath-taking nature.

Son Doong Cave in Vietnam has only explored recently and the cave is so large that not many people can go on a sight-seeing tour with all of the nooks and crannies of the cave.
If tourists would like to experience the sight-seeing tour of the cave, they have to equip themselves with sufficient knowledge, skills and necessary equipment. They must guarantee that they have enough physical conditions to overcome the hazardous stretch of mountainous roads, slippery streams and walk a long distance in the forest before coming to the cave’s entrance.

To enter into the cave, you have to claim up a steep mountain-side with 80 meters in height. Below is the swift-flowing river, you have to use safe equipment to go slowly through the hardened flowing.
In rainy season, the level of water rises to 50 meters that you cannot go through. Therefore, you should not have the idea to go to the largest cave in the world at that time. The water falls inside the cave flow all the year round, moss sticks to the cliffs will be one of the challenges that Son Doong Cave tours bring for tourists.

Each tour only has about 10 tourists, 30 escorts including porter, chef, medical staff, cave professional and forestry officer.
